Pastoral Care
We recognise the importance of children forming attachments with their carers for security and comfort. The environment, personnel and routines should all support the child so that a feeling of well-being and ease can be achieved.
Children at the Centre are at the heart of every decision we make. Children are respected at all times as unique individuals and staff interact and communicate with the children in a warm and nurturing way.
Parents and carers are informed of their child's teacher during their home visit or at their registration visit to the Nursery. The child's teacher is responsible for keeping updated observation records on the child and this allows parents to discuss their child's needs with their specific teacher. The children also have an allocated member of staff to help them settle in during their first few weeks at nursery. However, all staff work with the children so that they feel attached and valued by all. This enables children to feel safe and secure in their environment.
